First you take the face value of the number e.g 5 then you multiply it by the place value to get the full value. So 5 multiplied by the hundreds is 500. You do that with the whole number to get the full value.

My Explanation About Paragraphs.

WALT organise ideas into paragraphs, with a topic sentence, supporting details and a concluding sentence. - can accurately follow the appropriate structure

- clearly state main idea (topic sentence)
- support main idea with relevant details, and use natural connectives (not firstly, secondly, thirdly)
- summarise paragraph (concluding sentence)
- can make links across paragraphs
