War vs Whakaaio

War vs Whakaaio

War defeats world peace
Bombs create chaos and death
Peace defeats nguha.

Screenshot 2017-08-14 at 2.42.18 PM.pngPeople seek refuge
Rocky hills provide cover
Nature calls for help.

War gives death and pain
Peace brings love and forgiveness
War and peace brings life.

When nature calls out
We ignore what we have done
We talk of new wars.

My Weta Poem

Although your ears on your legs
silent at night, you make no sound
You burrow a hole and lay eggs in a mound
creeping at night stealthily
easy to camouflage difficult to see
often found beneath the beech tree
Omnivore, eater of plants and invertebrates
searching for Kai nocturnally
Brown stripes, skinny legs  with spikes
one kick from it's legs stings like bee
night time predator hunting prey
Only a stoat or rat can make you flee
between grassland,  shrubland and forest
Your  habitat is likely to be leafy
It is called a ground weta for a reason
digging in its burrow searching deeply

First you take the face value of the number e.g 5 then you multiply it by the place value to get the full value. So 5 multiplied by the hundreds is 500. You do that with the whole number to get the full value.
